After 27 pit stops, 2 Panera Greek Goddess salads, 17 dead deer spotted alongside the road, 1 speeding ticket, and 3 very long 15 hour days of driving…WE ARE HOME.
The HH met us in the driveway with tears in his eyes. Lucy flipped out {of course} and had to be carried into the house only to crawl all over the HH and Monkey Boy like crazy before bolting out the back door to run laps around the backyard for about 10 minutes.
“Everything is so green,” I said to the HH as I did a quick survey of the garden.
Within 20 minutes of pulling into the driveway they started throwing subtle hints that they were hungry.
Some things never change. No matter how long you are gone.
Have a wonderful Monday everyone,
~ Mavis and Lucy.

I’m glad you are home safe and sound. Sorry about the speeding ticket. I got a warning the other day on my way to chemo. I think the officer looked at my license and compared what I used to look like to what I look like now with scarcely a hair on my head and felt sorry for me. LOL You have to find the “lemonade” in all the lemons life gives to you.

Well, I was really surprised that the ticket was only $40 and was pretty pleased with that. Glad to hear you got out of your ticket Kathy. 🙂

Glad you are home, and that The Puggle Princess remembered her other humans :-). How many treats did she get from the HH after that?? LOL!!! lynneinMN

One of his first comments was that she was “too skinny.” I have a feeling he will be slipping her some treats every chance he gets though. 🙂
