It was another lovely week here in the Pacific Northwest filled with sunny skies and warm temps hovering around 60+ degrees. There were two days it even hit 70. ๐ I stopped by the farmer’s market to look for heirloom tomato plants but the pickings were slim so I decided to wait another week in hopes that they’ll be more to choose from next time around.
Lately I’ve been spending my afternoons out on the back porch sitting in the sun and working on rug hooking projects …. it’s so nice to be able to do that again.
I planted 2 rows of sunflowers in one of the raised garden beds and plan to use those in cut flower bouquets. The strawberry, blueberry and raspberry plants are starting to fill out and it won’t be long now before little fruits start to appear. I’ll start zucchini, cucumber and squash seeds this week {indoors} and clear out the kale beds and get them ready for the tomato plants I hope to bring home next week.
Summer…. it’s on its way and I couldn’t be happier.
