Yesterday I worked out in the yard for almost the entire day doing thankless chores. The gunk was building up again at the base of the garden containers so I pressure washed the back patio.
Then spent the next 3 hours pressure washing the driveway {the first time it’s been done since we’ve lived here, I think}.
Then there was the moss that’s been creeping into the pea gravel walkway to contend with.
I know we need to lay another yard of gravel along the path to spruce it up a bit, but I think I’ll wait until early spring. We get an enormous amount of leaf litter and cedar needles in that particular area during the fall months and picking it out of the rocks is no fun at all.
But a clean backyard…. it sure does make all those thankless tasks totally worth it in the end.
Have a great sunday everyone,
~Mavis

Mavis,
Have you tried a vinegar and salt solution on the pea gravel to kill the moss? Maybe laying some screen or netting over the path during the fall and winter will make it easier to clean up the leaves and needles too.
