As usual, the weather here the past few days has been totally wonky. Pouring rain one minute and sunshine the next. What’s a girl to do? Well, I think the only reasonable thing for someone with a HUGE case of cabin fever is to get outside as much as possible and soak up the Vitamin D. That, or dig a hole, jump in and give up.
As per the HOA rules, I have a 5 foot fence. Which really means not only can I see everything that happens while I putter away in my yard, but EVERYONE can see me. I despise living here for this very reason. I really do. Every single day it eats away at me a little bit more. If I make it out of here alive it will be a miracle.
But, it does make for some interesting observations:
Wine and Cheese Lady. She mails letters, every single day. I look forward to her putting the flag up on her mailbox because I know the mail has come and I can go out and collect mine.
80-year-old Drive by Lady bought a new car. One of those smaller Lexus SUV’s. This is an upgrade from her sedan. Without fail, every morning around 10 and every afternoon around 3 she drives through the ENTIRE neighborhood at 10 miles an hour to check up on everyone. If you look at her while she is looking at you she will speed up and drive away. One of these days I am going to stand at the end of my driveway with a big plate of cookies and flag her down. I think she needs a friend.
Stroller Mom is now baby in a backpack mom. She can fast walk even faster now.
Does anyone know what kind of plant these silvery blue berries are from? I found a couple of clusters when I was raking up the fallen tree branches. They’re pretty, but probably poisonous.
Hard at work aerating the garden. Again.
Check out my new pea trellis.
Okay, so not so much a trellis more like random sticks shoved into the ground. I think it will look kind of groovy once some pea vines are on there.
You can never have enough lettuce. So I started some more.
What’s happening in YOUR neck of the woods this weekend?
