It seems like everything in the garden is just a few days or a few weeks away from harvesting. The peas are almost ready to pick. The strawberries are ripening at a trickle, the carrots… still too young to pull, the raspberries and blueberries need their coloring and the beans {or was it peas?} I planted in containers on the patio are still flowering.
Waiting. It’s the hardest part. Isn’t it?
Have a happy monday everyone.

My raspberries have been ripe since early May, and my Marionberries have been going crazy for the past couple of weeks. My dogs help me keep up with them by eating all the low berries.

Crystal, what area do u live in? I’m in the clackamas, Oregon area. Our strawberries have been ripening gradually for about a month now. Raspberry still green.
My blue berries are gradually ripening. Your dog nibbles on ur raspberries!! My grandkids sneak under the netting guarding my blueberries from the birds!!! It’s so cute!!

I’m in Corvallis, OR. So no reason I can see that I would be overwhelmed with all these berries if you aren’t getting any. Though I will say, it is standard that my raspberries produce from early/mid May to late October/ early November (depending on weather). They are the longest producing raspberries I’ve ever seen, and they produce like crazy the entire time.
My older dog (8 years old) taught my new puppy (9 months old) how to pick berries. They like to hang out in the yard, pushed up under the bushes, eating off the bush and picking up any fallen berries as well. And they seem to like the Marionberries just as much as the raspberries.

That is a hoot Crystal!!! I’d like to see that! Your puppies sound adorable!! Do you know what the name of your rasher rise are?
Pat (from clackamas) says
Raspberries are?

I’m not sure what they are called unfortunately. My neighbors got them in a free box on the sidewalk a few years ago, and I got a start from them.
I do have a blog, So Fly: My Life With Flyball Dogs, if you want to see the adorable things my dogs do. I am planning on trying to get some pictures of them totally buried under the bushes with just the tails sticking out here pretty soon.
